This EP is.. well, it's dropping at weird transitional period in my life. I'm going to be honest, the title of this project couldn't anymore true considering most of these songs are from about a year ago lol.
I'm always late to everything so I thought, "Hey, I'll run with that."
But what if I looked at it differently?
What if it was just a marker of where I was?
Just a reference point to where my mental was at?
What if it's just the past me, knowing where I would be at now, giving me a reminder of who I said I was going to be?
What if, aside from being a release for me, it helps somebody else out?
I'd love for it to be all of that, and maybe in a way it could be.
But for now...
It's just a collection of songs from probably one of the most lowest, and simultaneously, one of the highest points in my life.
"It can still go higher, yada yada yada", I know.
I'm just saying that, at the point of the creation of each of these songs, I felt the most hurt, but somehow, also the most free.
For me, this represents a place of freedom that I aspire to be at again, someday.
And I hope ya'll enjoy it & shit lol.
